Mina Foundation, the development team behind Mina Protocol, announced on Friday via a blog post that it has hired Kurt Hemecker as Chief Operating Officer. The team added that Kurt Hemecker would bring a lot of experience to the Mina Foundation after working for more than two decades in various roles, including at the Facebook-backed Diem stablecoin project and at PayPal.Mina is a layer-1 protocol with a succinct blockchain. The current blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum store hundreds of gigabytes of data, and their blockchains will only increase in size over time.MINA is up by more than 12% in the last 24 hours and is trading at $2.958 at press time.Source: MINA
