About Klaytn (KLAY)
Klaytn is a public blockchain focused on the metaverse, gamefi, and the creator economy. Launched in June 2019, it has become one of the largest blockchain platforms in South Korea and is now experiencing global business expansion, operating from its international base in Singapore.
Klaytn's growth is supported by the Klaytn Growth Fund, which aims to expand the ecosystem built on Klaytn. The Klaytn Foundation, a Singapore-based non-profit organization established in August 2021, manages and disburses this fund.
KLAY is the native digital asset of the Klaytn protocol. Initially, 10 billion KLAY were launched, with 2.6 billion KLAY currently in circulation. With each new block, 9.6 KLAY are minted, and the block reward—a combination of newly issued KLAY and transaction fees—is distributed to three destination accounts at a pre-determined ratio: Klaytn Governance Council Reward (34%), Klaytn Growth Fund (KGF) (54%), and Klaytn Improvement Reserve (KIR) (12%).
The live price of KLAY is available and updated in real time on Binance.
