Rio de Janeiro - one of Brazil’s biggest cities - will invest 1% of its Treasury funds into cryptocurrencies, according to its mayor Eduardo Paes.
Paes made the announcement during a joint lecture with the mayor of Miami and crypto advocate, Francis Suarez, at the Rio Innovation Week.
