Bitcoin has hit a new all-time high of $48,417.76 as of 1:21 PM UTC, just three days after its previous ATH.

The most recent record on Binance came off the heels of an announcement by BNY Mellon, the oldest bank in the U.S., regarding its plans to offer custodial services with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The previous ATH was set on February 8, hours after Tesla announced that it bought $1.5 billion worth of BTC and that it intends to accept cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment for its cars.

As of 3 PM UTC, Bitcoin is at $47,930.96, following a slight market correction.
