European Central Bank keeps interest rates unchanged at record low levels

The European Central Bank at its meeting on Thursday said it would keep its key deposit rate unchanged at -0.5%. Christine Lagarde, the bank’s President said that inflation is “likely to remain elevated longer than previously expected but will decline in the course of this year.”
