Lee Jae-Myung, South Korea’s ruling Democratic Party's candidate in the 2022 presidential elections, announced a fundraiser based on non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Donors will be receiving NFTs including a picture of the candidate and a list of his policies as a kind of memento for their donation.

The move is designed to attract young voters to Lee’s camp ahead of the presidential election. A non-fungible token (NFT) is a type of cryptographic token that represents a unique asset. NFTs are tokenized versions of digital or real-world assets. They function as verifiable proofs of authenticity and ownership within a blockchain network.
