Decentraland has become the first cryptocurrency project to sponsor the 3D modeling platform Blender. In a recent blog post, the Decentraland Foundation + DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) announced that it had joined the Blender Development Fund as a Patron MembDecentraland will be sponsoring the Blender Developer Fund, joining Google, Facebook, Apple, Unity, Epic, Nvidia, Steam, and Microsoft as a Patron Member of the fund.

“Open source software like Blender makes up the backbone of the real metaverse, and Decentraland’s community is proud to pledge its support,” the team said in the post.

The price of MANA, Decentraland’s native coin, is up by more than 10% since the team announced its entry into the Blender Developer Fund.
