Kering, the largest luxury goods group after LVMH has launched an experimental site "cutting-edge fashion space" by the name of KNXT. The site is said to be a place for "curating innovative content and testing new ideas," which it is already doing through the integration of both artificial intelligence (AI) and NFT tech.
On the AI front, KNXT features a chatbot named '/madeline', which is powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT, and is said to be the first personal shopper of its kind.
We are thrilled to introduce you to /madeline, the first AI personal shopper leveraging @OpenAI's #ChatGPT.Say goodbye to endless scrolling and hello to a unique way to find the perfect luxury pieces on https://t.co/2Oj4pLUNjQ#luxury #fashion #ai #generativeAI #personalshopper pic.twitter.com/yiZ8SEbCPE

On KNXT and with the help of /madeline, visitors can shop a variety of the group's brands including Gucci, Bottega Venetia, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and more.
Giving this AI personal shopper a test, we asked it to find us a pair of black men's cargo pants with a budget of $500 USD, to which it replied:
"For the man who values both style and practicality, I would recommend the Men's Large Cargo Trousers in black cotton ripstop from Balenciaga," adding "these trousers feature a large fit, mid-waist, covered zip fly, five belt loops, and two belt tabs on the sides to adjust the waistline."
It went on to write "the destroyed, washed-out and stained effect gives these trousers a distinctive look. They feature many pockets, including one cargo pocket on each side and 4 hook and loop patch pockets in the front, making them perfect for men who are always on the go."
Finishing its response, /madeline gave the origin of the trousers, care instructions, and a link to Balenciaga where they could be purchased -- though the price was not shown and reflected in-store availability only, so there are still some improvements that could be made.
While the bot can provide external links to sites owned by Kering, visitors to KNXT can also shop a variety of its brands, both Women's and Men's items, and can check out using ETH simply by connecting a wallet. At the time of writing the site only ships to eligible states in the U.S.
For the first 100 visitors to make a purchase using a Web3 wallet, KNXT is airdropping NFTs from its 'La Première' collection, which features illustrated owl characters wearing luxury clothing.
