According to CoinDesk, Singapore police said a 36-year-old man was arrested at Changi Airport on September 29 after Reuters asked about the arrest of Su Zhu, one of the founders of the bankrupt crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC). The police did not disclose the name and did not provide further comment to Reuters. 3AC liquidator Teneo said last week that Su Zhu had been arrested, but city officials have not yet fully confirmed the move. Kyle Davies, another co-founder of 3AC, remains at large and his location is unknown. Both founders were sentenced to four months in prison for failing to comply with court orders. 3AC, once the top fund in the crypto industry, lost billions of dollars after a series of bad trades and investments in 2021 and 2022, leading to the closure of the fund and a chain reaction across the market. The fund now owes creditors about $2.8 billion, and Davies and Su Zhu appear to have been evading authorities since last year.
