Binance NFT By The Numbers

1. World’s largest curated NFT marketplace

Since our launch in June 2021, we’ve onboarded over 1,000 creators worldwide and supported the creation and listing of over 2.5 million NFTs across a wide variety of categories like art, collectibles, gaming, sports, e-sports, entertainment, luxury fashion, virtual land and more. As a top destination for NFT traders, we’ve also increased active traders by 9x and trading volume by 30x since the first month we launched.

2. Multi-chain support and consistent feature updates

As a community-driven NFT marketplace, we’ve consistently tweaked and added new features in response to user feedback. We added more ways for creators to express themselves, including creator profiles, collection pages and more. And our users enjoyed intuitive upgrades, including ranking boards, better indices and recommended collections. In addition,  Binance NFT also enables our users to deposit their NFTs on the Binance NFT Marketplace from their decentralized wallets via our WalletConnect feature, making NFT transactions fuss-free.

To support a larger ecosystem, we added multi-chain support for NFT deposits and withdrawals from BNB Chain (former BSC) and ETH networks in October 2021. Since then, we’ve welcomed more and more NFT creators, collectors and traders to join the Binance NFT experience and our ever-expanding metaverse.

We will also be launching the Subscription Mechanism soon, a new purchase method that ensures users a fair and equal chance of successfully buying their favourite NFT.

3. First-ever NFT Mystery Boxes

Mystery Boxes were our brainchild to make NFT collecting and trading more fun, interactive and engaging for our community. In 2021, we sold over 1 million Mystery Boxes and achieved over $360 million in trading volume from Mystery Box sales.

4. The one-stop marketplace for NFT gaming

With Steam’s delisting of all blockchain games, we built a new home for NFT games and gamers via our first-ever Initial Game Offering (IGO).

Presently, we’ve collaborated with over 60 gaming projects and listed over 1 million gaming NFTs, including in-game weapons, powerups and collectibles, just to name a few.

As of Dec 22, our total trading volume from IGO drops have reached $188 million, and we broke a new record, hitting $40 million in trading volume from IGO launches in just one month. Fun fact: our most expensive gaming NFT sold at a whopping $1,937,600 (4,000 BNB).

5. Top NFT collaborations

This year was packed with top-tier collaborations, including art pieces by da Vinci and Van Gogh from the State Hermitage Museum, NFT fashion from world-famous luxury brands like Vogue Singapore, Balmain Paris and Jimmy Choo. We also featured a premium NFT collection by Associated Press, which included over 100 pieces of historic news articles.

The collaborations didn’t stop there. We’ve worked with singers, actors and athletes to bring fan interaction and merch to a whole new level. Some of our collaborations include chart-topping singer Lewis Capaldi, two-time Oscar-nominated Hollywood actor Djimon Hounson and football legends like Michael Owen, Rivaldo, Guti, Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri and Gabriel Batistuta.

In addition to celebrities, we’ve teamed up with top NFT artists from the community, including Krista Kim, Ali Sabet, Kefan404 and many more.

6. Educating users and driving NFT adoption

As industry leaders, we also have a responsibility to educate users and grow the ecosystem healthily and sustainably. In 2021, we released 23 NFT educational blog articles and 20 NFT academy articles in over ten languages, covering a spectrum of topics such as NFT gaming, play-to-earn, the metaverse, avatars, informed investing and a series of beginner-friendly guides on the fundamentals of NFTs.

Some of these articles have even ranked number one on Google searches, including Why NFTs Are The Keys To Accessing The Metaverse and Crypto Gamification: How NFTs Disrupt The Gaming Industry

Over 398,000 viewers tuned in to our first-ever webinar series, NFT Tuesdays, as we discussed various topics like NFT gaming, art and charity. We also organized an array of user education quizzes, notably NFTeaching and NFT Christmas 2021, which attracted almost 250,000 participants.

7. NFT for Good

We launched our first-ever charitable NFT collection - ‘NFT for Good’, which featured three leading artists, Jon Burgerman, Ronald Kuang (Seerlight) and ATTA. In total, we helped raise close to 65,000 BUSD from this collection to help children in need.

We recently collaborated with Djimon Housou and Laolu to launch ‘Time to Heal,’ and a portion of the proceeds went to the Djimon Hounsou Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to reconnecting the African Diaspora with the motherland and fighting modern-day slavery & human trafficking.

Our Vision for 2022

Binance NFT was launched for the community, and we will continue to build for the community.

In the upcoming year, Binance NFT will work closely with budding and renowned NFT projects, creators and partners to further build the NFT ecosystem and welcome more users to the ever-expanding metaverse. Another major priority is to perform a network upgrade of Binance NFT for on-chain transactions, which will allow us to better embrace NFT communities and users worldwide by offering a more innovative and robust trading platform. As we set our New Year’s Resolutions for 2022, let’s raise a toast for a new year of new heights, possibilities and breakthroughs.
