Weekly Market Recap
This week we saw the total crypto market cap decrease around 9.7%, from ~$2.17T on Sep 16, 2021 to ~$1.96T at the time of writing.
Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a bumpy week, trading at ~$46,942 on Sep 16, 2021, before falling to a weekly low of ~$39,876 on Sep 22, 2021. It currently trades at ~$44,610 as of writing.
During the same period, Ethereum followed a similar path, falling to a weekly low of ~$2,709 on Sep 22 2021. At the time of writing, Ethereum trades at ~$3,098
1. A Positive Development for the Future of Crypto
Our investigative team recently assisted the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in identifying and disabling illicit accounts from a Russian-based entity known as Suex OTC. Stopping “bulletproof exchangers” like Suex is just one positive step of many for the future trajectory of crypto. We will continue to collaborate with law enforcement agencies worldwide, identifying and stamping out illicit activity from the crypto world.
