This year has been an eventful one for the Binance Angels. With many new recruits and various exciting events and meet-ups happening around the world, our Angels continue to be an important pillar of the Binance ecosystem.
To celebrate our Angels, as well as their support and their passion for Binance, we are organizing a Christmas Meet-up in Milan, Italy on December 15. In addition to this, we would like to share a few stories from Angels around the globe on their best experiences so far as Binance Angels.
Yesu’s Story
I discovered Binance back in 2017. At the time, the platform was very new but it grew my interest in crypto and blockchain technology. My first son, Angel, was born shortly after.
Perhaps my most notable story with Binance was when I first heard about the Binance Angels program, I felt like it was a sign for me to get involved in the program, since I already had an Angel in my family!
Since I started as a Binance Angel, the community has grown immensely and become my second family. I traveled to Dubai Blockchain Week and met many of the people I’d worked with closely in person. It was a great feeling to be surrounded by like-minded people who were building towards the same future and goal I was.
Veera’s Story
Right before I applied to become a Binance Angel, I was at this point in my life where I needed something to change, perhaps something that could steer me in the right direction. I even remember liking an Instagram post that said, “If you like this post, you will get a life-changing call”. And what do you know? Just shortly after, I received that very call!
The local manager reached out to me about my application and I was onboarded as an Angel soon afterwards! I am so happy to finally be part of a community I feel so strongly connected to.
Dom’s Story
My most memorable story happened during Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai. I was helping the Binance team organize a KOL party at AURA Skypool. I was at the entrance making sure only people who had a yellow wristband could enter.
An Asian woman with a face mask arrived and I noticed she didn't have a wristband, so I went up to her and asked for her name so I could check the guest list.
Instead of telling me her name, she asked for my name and if I worked at Binance. I politely answered and asked for her name for a second time. She replied: "Nice to meet you, Dom. I'm He Yi, the co-founder of Binance."
I hadn’t recognized her because she was wearing a face mask. I felt so awkward, so I apologized and let her in, of course. Funnily enough, because of this incident, she now remembers me and recognized me at Binance Blockchain Week in Paris.
FoxtAlpha’s Story
The best thing that happened to me as a Binance Angel? It was certainly the day I met CZ in Rome for lunch. CZ sat next to us to chat and started pouring wine into our glasses and serving all the Angels food before he served himself. His humility stunned me, and it’s something I’ll always carry in my heart.
Lu’s Story
My favorite memory as a Binance Angel comes from when I attended our recent meet-up in Dublin at Trinity College; the event was a huge success, by the way!
We got to meet a few very keen and enthusiastic students, and share with them our opinions on the future of crypto. There were also a few students in the room who had no knowledge of crypto but seemed very interested.
We had a quiz organized after the workshop and I overheard the students with less experience in crypto say it would be great to win some swag, but they didn’t think they had enough knowledge. They actually ended up with hats and T-shirts! They were ever so thankful that we ended up chatting with them for a few minutes and I even shared my crypto journey with them!
