Binance Masterclass: Educating Nigeria and the rest of Africa about Crypto
Throughout sessions held in various venues and delivered in vastly differing methods, the Binance Masterclass has provided valuable information and education about Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and more to Nigeria and the rest of Africa. What started as a live community seminar event in January has evolved into a wide-reaching webinar as of June. We shall take a look into how the Binance community in Nigeria has grown, with crypto education at its core.
Binance African CommunityÂ
Starting with the intensive masterclass session offered in January, Binanceâs community in Nigeria has relentlessly provided service and education to the countryâs crypto community. During the past six months, Binance has hosted more than 100 total events, both online and offline, across nine locations in Africa, with the gracious support of more than 10,000 Binancians who attended these gatherings.
Another stellar achievement that Binance Nigeria has achieved is the ongoing effort to reach out to campuses in the country. In cooperation with seven student ambassadors, from different universities in Nigeria, the community has hosted 20 campus webinars and 83 AMAs.Â
Here are our Binance Student Ambassadors. If you want to be one as well, join here.Â

Binance Masterclass in Benin, Nigeria
This six-hour intensive seminar, held last January 24 and attended by 222 people, is a very comprehensive crash course into understanding everything about Bitcoin, blockchain, trading, and more.Â
Binance Masterclass in Benin, Nigeria
One month after, on February 22, Binance Nigeria took the Binance Masterclass to Abuja, a major city in Nigeria, where the basics in cryptocurrencies and trading are discussed. We have hoped to bring the Masterclass to more cities, but the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic has put a halt to offline events.
Binance Online Masterclass Nigeria
Not even a global pandemic can stop us from serving our community with crypto education. For our next masterclass, we turned to online events as the next frontier for reaching out. And through this two-day event, weâre able to communicate with even more Binancians. For this event, we got 500 RSVPs and an even bigger number of actual attendees at an official count of 836.
Binance in Africa: AMA with CZ
While this is not considered as a webinar, this âAsk Me Anythingâ event is important for our community as it emphasizes how important Africa is for Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. He answered a lot of questions from the Binance community on the continent.
Binance Masterclass: Becoming a Profitable Trader
At this point, we have caught the attention of other crypto colleagues throughout Africa. A new masterclass was held on May 30, this time with the help of guest speakers such as Tanya Knowles from Binance South Africa and Chris Ani from Digital Abundance. This webinar attracted even more audiences, with 1,231 people taking part in this event.
Binance Masterclass: Trading Without Charts
As we approach the midpoint of the year, we felt more comfortable with delving into more varied topics. Take this June 21 webinar as an example. During this event, we discussed crypto OTC trading, Binance P2P, and more specific crypto topics, with the help of Olaleye Awe of Alpha Training Lab.Â
During the second half of the year, we expect to reach out to more Binancians with more educational and informative events. We thank you for your ongoing support, and we hope to see you at the next events.
