US inflation just sent another warning to the markets. 🚨

September CPI came in at 3.7% year-over-year, climbing from 3.4% previously and landing above expectations. The hotter inflation print has quickly brought Federal Reserve rate-hike concerns back into the conversation.

For me, the biggest takeaway is that the fight against inflation clearly isn’t finished yet.

Higher rates for longer — or another hike — could keep pressure on risk assets such as stocks and crypto, particularly if Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar remain strong.

But this doesn’t automatically mean markets are headed straight down.

The Fed still has to balance persistent inflation against economic growth and the labor market. One CPI report can shift expectations dramatically, but the next policy decision will depend on the broader set of incoming data.

For investors, this is another reminder of why macroeconomic numbers matter so much right now.

Volatility may increase, but volatility also creates opportunities for people who stay patient instead of reacting emotionally to every headline.

The question now is simple: will inflation cool again, or are markets underestimating another round of Fed tightening? 👀
