The U.S. stock market closes, but on-chain trading is just getting started.

Blockworks data (cited by Kobeissi Letter, October 14): More than 70% of tokenized stock trades on BNB Chain take place outside regular U.S. market hours (9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET). The figure is 63% on Solana and nearly 60% on Base.

This isn’t a coincidence—it’s the core value proposition of tokenized stocks: when the U.S. market closes, trading doesn’t have to stop. Investors in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East don’t have to wait for New York to open; they can act as soon as earnings reports or macro news come out.

The market is growing, too: RWA.xyz data shows the total market cap of tokenized stocks is nearing $3.3 billion, up 15% in 30 days. On Solana, trading volume for tokenized assets on Jupiter rose 50% month over month.

Regulation is catching up, too: last month, the SEC introduced an “innovation exemption,” allowing compliant venues to trade tokenized U.S. stocks on public blockchains.
