• 12,267 BTC (about $1.01B) moved on Oct. 8 from funds seized in the 2016 Bitfinex hack
• Arkham data shows new unlabeled addresses, not exchange deposits, per CoinDesk
• A March 2025 executive order says seized BTC goes to the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and should not be sold
Neutral for price so far: with no exchange deposit this looks like wallet housekeeping, not selling. A deposit to an exchange would change that read.
