Russia may ask North Korea for new troops and missiles
According to Ukrainian intelligence, a meeting between the head of the Kremlin and Kim Jong Un could take place in September. Possible topics include further military support for Russia.
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR), Moscow may ask Pyongyang for an additional 30–50 thousand servicemen. This refers to a possible request, not to a decision by North Korea that has already been made.
The parties may also discuss new deliveries of ballistic missiles and launchers.
At the same time, Pyongyang denies information about preparations to send up to 50 thousand military personnel. Therefore, for now it is more accurate to talk about possible agreements and negotiations, rather than a confirmed deployment of a new contingent.
If such understandings do materialize, it will be further evidence of deepening military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
