According to Foresight News, Dankrad Feist, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, recently announced his decision to join EigenLayer as an advisor. He clarified that he is joining in a personal capacity and his role does not represent the Ethereum Foundation. His primary focus will be on risk and decentralization.
Feist acknowledged that he has received a significant number of tokens from EigenLayer. However, he does not believe this will alter or influence his stance on core protocol development. He expressed his belief that if EigenLayer is developed by a highly trustworthy individual, it could bring substantial benefits to Ethereum. He trusts that the current leaders intend to do so and plan to hold them accountable for it.
Feist further stated that if he feels the situation is no longer as intended, he will not hesitate to speak out and/or resign.
