Odaily Planet Daily News: Informal Systems, the R&D team of Interchain Foundation (ICF) and the core developer of the Cosmos network, announced the launch of CometBFT, a state machine replication engine for cross-chain. It is reported that CometBFT is a fork and successor of the blockchain consensus engine Tendermint Core, managed by Informal Systems and supported by ICF on behalf of the broader Cosmos network. Informal Systems is preparing to release CometBFT v0.34 and is working with other teams such as Cosmos SDK to facilitate the transition from Tendermint Core v0.34 to CometBFT v0.34. In addition, Informal Systems stated that it will release a detailed 2023 roadmap plan for CometBFT in early Q2.
