The IPO of domestic cosmetics brand Mao Geping has changed again. The official website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange shows that it has been changed to "suspended (financial report update)". Insiders revealed that it may be related to the largest external shareholder Jiuding Investment🤔. Mao Geping's road to listing has been bumpy. Since the first prospectus was disclosed in 2016, it has not yet been successfully listed.

During the seven years that Mao Geping was waiting to go public, listed companies in the domestic beauty industry such as Proya, Betteni, and Bloomage Biotech have all landed in the capital market. Some interpretations say that the reason why Mao Geping is difficult to go public is that it "emphasizes marketing and neglects R&D." However, insiders say that the company's marketing expenses are not much different from those of its peers in the industry.
