The popular Bitcoin Electrum wallet has urgently released version 4.8.2 with important security and infrastructure fixes.
Key points of the update:
โ ๏ธ Lightning Network fix: Resolves a critical issue in Lightning channel backups with non-deterministic keys. Old backups did not allow moving funds on-chain after a forced channel close.
๐ Improved key management: Rejects malformed xpub/xprv keys that were processed previously.
