Crypto 101: Spot vs Futures The version I wish I'd read first... Spot is simple: you buy the coin, you own it. Even if the price tanks, you're still holding it. Futures is different. You're not buying the coin, you're betting on direction, usually with leverage. Long if you think it pumps, short if you think it dumps. Borrowed money makes wins bigger and losses way bigger. My first futures trade? Yeah, we're not talking about that one. 😅 I went back to spot, and my sleep improved. Futures can wipe an account in minutes if you don't have a risk plan. Spot is slower and boring, and tbh that's why it's the safer place to learn. New here? Start with spot. Futures can wait. Not financial advice. $ETH $BTC $BNB #Cryptollegiate #CryptoForBeginners #CryptoBasics #SpotVsFutures {spot}(ETHUSDT) {spot}(BNBUSDT) {spot}(BTCUSDT)

Exchange Tutorials: starts next Crypto 101 covered the basics. Now comes the part where you actually open an exchange app and have no idea what half the buttons do. This series walks through it step by step: KYC, deposits, withdrawals, and features like Earn and Launchpool. I'll assume you know nothing, because I didn't either when I started. I've lost count of how many times I opened a feature, stared at it for ten seconds, and closed the app. If that's you, you're in the right place. First up: KYC, and why it's less scary than it sounds. Tell me which one confuses you most and I'll do it first. 👇 $ETH $BTC $BNB #Cryptollegiate #CryptoForBeginners #ExchangeTutorials {spot}(ETHUSDT) {spot}(BTCUSDT) {spot}(BNBUSDT)

Crypto 101: Market Cap vs FDV This one confuses people constantly. Market Cap = price × coins actually circulating right now. FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) = price × the TOTAL supply that will ever exist, including coins not released yet. Think of it like this: Market Cap is what's on the market today, and FDV is what the market could look like after all coins are unlocked. Why it matters: A coin can look cheap by Market Cap, but if FDV is way bigger, it means a lot of extra supply is still coming. More supply unlocking over time usually creates downward pressure on price. A big gap between the two isn't automatically a red flag, but it's absolutely worth checking before you invest. I ignored FDV once and learned this lesson the hard way. $ETH $BTC $BNB #Cryptollegiate #CryptoForBeginners #CryptoBasics #MarketCap #FDV {spot}(BTCUSDT) {spot}(ETHUSDT) {spot}(BNBUSDT)

Crypto 101: What's a gas fee? Ok, gas fee. Sounds like a car thing, but nah- think of it as a toll for using the blockchain. Every time you send crypto or touch an app on-chain, someone's computer has to actually process that transaction. The fee is what pays them for the work. And here's the thing - it's not the exchange charging you, it goes straight to the network. That's why fees spike when things get busy. More people trying to squeeze through, higher toll to skip the line. Same transaction, cents one day, dollars the next. Annoying but that's just how it works. $ETH $BNB $USDC #Cryptollegiate #CryptoForBeginners #CryptoBasics #GasFees {spot}(BNBUSDT) {spot}(ETHUSDT) {spot}(USDCUSDT)

Crypto For Beginners: What Everyone Pretends to Know We just wrapped Wallet & Security, so now let's do "Crypto for Beginners"- The stuff everyone nods along to in group chats but secretly googles later lol. Gas Fees, Market Cap vs FDV, Spot vs Futures. No jargon dump, just explaining it like I would to a mate over coffee. First real post drops right after this one. And hey, if you've ever felt too embarrassed to ask what a "Gas Fee" even is - this series is literally for you. $BTC $ETH $USDC {spot}(ETHUSDT) {spot}(BTCUSDT) {spot}(USDCUSDT) #Cryptollegiate #CryptoForBeginners

SPOT WALLET VS FUNDING WALLET Why Can't I Find My Money? Just made your first deposit and the balance shows zero? Don't panic. It's almost certainly sitting in the wrong wallet. This trips up almost everyone in the first week. Spot Wallet is your trading floor. Every buy and sell pulls from here, so if you can't trade, check here first. Funding Wallet is the waiting room. It handles P2P, Binance Pay, card payments, and some Earn products, and deposits often land here first. The fix: tap "Transfer" between the two wallets. Free and instant. This is just Binance's layout, not a security issue. For panicking newbies: Money missing after a deposit? Check Funding Wallet first. Can't trade? Move it to Spot. Two taps, problem solved. $USDC $BTC $BNB #Cryptollegiate {spot}(BTCUSDT) {spot}(BNBUSDT) {spot}(USDCUSDT)

BREAKING: Bitget just got hit for $350M+ Ok, so this just happened - Bitget (one of the bigger exchanges) lost somewhere around $350-380M out of its hot wallets this week. Not a private key leak either, which honestly would've been worse. Attackers got into a backend system and basically tricked the exchange's own signing process into moving funds out. Small silver lining - Circle and Tether managed to freeze about $318K of the stolen stablecoins within hours. Not much next to the total, sure, but it's proof freezing tools actually work fast when issuers jump on it quick. The part that actually matters for us though? Cold wallets weren't touched. Only the hot side got hit. "Spending hot, savings cold" isn't just something I tell you guys-turns out exchanges live by the same rule. $ETH $BTC $USDC #BitgetHackerFailsToMoveStolenFunds #Cryptollegiate #WalletSecurity {spot}(ETHUSDT) {spot}(BTCUSDT) {spot}(USDCUSDT) After seeing this, how do you feel about keeping funds on exchanges?

YOUR WALLET & SECURITY UPDATE NO.7 The Secondhand Hardware Wallet Trap: Honestly, this one never crossed my mind until someone brought it up: buying a hardware wallet secondhand. Even the ones that show up "factory sealed." Here's the part that got me. Someone could reseal the box with a seed phrase already loaded on the device, then just wait. You open it, set it up, fund it, feeling great about your new security upgrade... and they had the keys before you ever touched the box. Looks brand new. It isn't! So now I'm curious...now that you know this can happen, would you still buy one secondhand if it looked sealed? $USDC $BTC $BNB #Cryptollegiate #WalletSecurity {spot}(USDCUSDT) {spot}(BTCUSDT) {spot}(BNBUSDT) Would you trust a hardware wallet you bought secondhand, even factory-sealed?
