🚨 PRICE UP 15%, SHORTS PAYING -592% FUNDING 📉

$ANIME just ripped 15% to $0.00336 on Binance spot, and the derivatives market is fighting the move every step of the way.

Funding is now the most negative of any coin in the market:
📊 Hyperliquid: -591.8% annualized
📊 OKX: -350% annualized

That means shorts are paying longs a fortune to stay short, on two venues at once. When spot rises while shorts keep piling in, you are looking at a classic short-squeeze setup.

🎯 WHY IT MATTERS

We just watched this exact movie. On Oct 14, Bitway ($BTW) surged 202% while its funding rate stayed negative. CoinGlass data showed BTW shorts liquidated for $2.9M vs only $543K for longs, a 5.3:1 ratio. The price-up-shorts-stay combo resolved with forced short covering, then a 22% snap-back when momentum faded. ANIME is running the same script, on a much thinner book (24h spot volume only ~$7.6M), which cuts both ways: squeezes move fast, but reversals are just as violent.

The two-venue agreement is what makes this a real positioning signal instead of a single-exchange quirk. When both HL and OKX shorts are this deep underwater relative to spot, somebody is about to be wrong at size.

If funding keeps printing at -500%+ and spot holds, the next leg is shorts covering. If spot cracks, those shorts get paid handsomely for being right. Either way, volatility is the trade here, not direction.

Who holds the bag if ANIME squeezes again, the shorts or the late longs? 👇
