At present, the daily trading volume in the tokenized buyback market is about $300–350 billion, while total other tokenized assets add up to about $65 billion. Put in front of traditional financial markets, this isn’t even close to the same scale. The IMF also noted that legal rules, regulatory frameworks, and interoperability between different platforms are the key issues currently holding back further expansion of tokenization.

So I think it’s still too early to say that “RWA will overturn traditional finance immediately.” The technology is already moving, but the market and the rules haven’t fully caught up yet.
