📌 Bitcoin Approaches Formation of a “Golden Cross” 🔱
🎯 Long-Term Bullish Signal Reappears
On August 20, Bitcoin (BTC) may be nearing the formation of a “golden cross,” a pattern commonly regarded in technical analysis as a long-term bullish momentum signal. If Bitcoin currently breaks above the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) and continues rising, and then breaks above the 200-day SMA, currently at $69,005, the pattern would be officially formed.
As this potential crossover emerges, Bitcoin’s price has already climbed above $71,000, gaining more than 12% over the past week. The current price is also slightly above the 200-day SMA.
The 200-day SMA reflects Bitcoin’s average closing price over the past 200 trading days and is widely used to assess the market’s long-term trend. If Bitcoin continues to trade above this moving average, it typically suggests the market may be shifting from a bear market to a bull market; conversely, a drop below the 200-day SMA could signal the opposite.
