PANews August 7 news: According to Decrypt, MetaMask, a crypto wallet service provider, announced the launch of “Agent Wallet,” a self-custody AI wallet. It allows AI agents (AI Agents) to autonomously execute on-chain transactions within the permission scope set by the user, further expanding its presence in AI-driven crypto trading infrastructure.

MetaMask said that Agent Wallet is designed for traders and developers who use AI agents for market monitoring, opportunity identification, and automated trading. Unlike traditional AI agents that directly obtain full wallet permissions, this wallet lets users set transaction limits, specify accessible protocols, adjust risk parameters, and offers two operating modes: “Guard Mode” (protective mode) and “Beast Mode” (highly automated mode). It supports AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes, and OpenCode, and is also compatible with Hyperliquid and blockchain networks based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). In addition, the wallet supports Gas abstraction. Users do not need to hold native tokens to pay gas fees; the AI agent can use trading assets directly to complete gas settlement.
