Rostin Behnam, chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), said Congress needs to play a more critical role in agency regulation of cryptocurrencies, The Block reported. The CFTC and SEC have a strong track record of working together in the past, but digital assets are unique. Cryptocurrencies have “tremendous potential,” and given their growth, Congress needs to step in.
