🔐 The founder of the Estonian LHV Bank, Rain Lõhmus, lost the keys to his wallet with 250,000 ETH, worth $470 million, purchased at the Ethereum ICO.
- In February, Coinbase director Conor Grogan discovered an Ethereum “whale” wallet with $470 million of funds untouched since the creation of the blockchain.
- On November 6, Grogan confirmed that the wallet belonged to Lõhmus, who had lost his keys.
- Lõhmus admitted that he has not made much effort to recover the password, but is ready to consider suggestions for its recovery and share funds with anyone who can help.
- With ETH costing $0.30 at the start, Lõhmus bought his coins for $75,000. At their peak on November 10, 2021, their value was $1.22 billion.
