This post was on Reddit and it made me realize how far Bitcoin has come, from a concept people couldn't understand to being viewed by millions of people as a profitable asset that can be invested in.
In 2009, Bitcoin was said to be listed on New Liberty Standard, the first crypto exchange. Its price was so low that it was possible to buy 1,309 bitcoins with 1 dollar (What!!!!!)
They also posted an image of what the website looked like in 2009, and the creator of the site was said to have purchased 5,050 BTC at a price of $5.02.
This is why crypto investing is really interesting because after a few years, the investment can be worth thousands of dollars for people who hold onto their crypto through market ups and downs.
