Apple has unveiled its new MacBook Pro, and one of the biggest changes is something many people have been waiting for:
TOUCHSCREEN SUPPORT ON THE MAC.
Here’s what makes this launch interesting 👇
🔹 1. Touch comes to MacBook Pro
Apple is introducing touchscreen interaction, giving users another way to interact with their work.
🔹 2. Tandem OLED display
The new PROLED XDR display promises improved brightness, contrast and colour reproduction for professional workflows.
🔹 3. M5 Pro & M5 Max
Designed for demanding workloads, including software development, AI, 3D graphics and video production.
🔹 4. Up to 24 hours of battery life
Apple says the new MacBook Pro can deliver up to 24 hours, depending on usage and configuration.
🔹 5. Built for professionals
Developers, designers, engineers and content creators are among the users Apple is targeting.
💭 The interesting question isn’t simply whether Apple added a touchscreen.
It’s how Apple combines hardware, software and on-device AI to change the way people work.
As a Computer Engineering student, I’m particularly interested in the engineering behind these improvements.
Would you actually use a touchscreen MacBook Pro, or do you prefer the traditional keyboard-and-trackpad experience?
