Did You Know?
$LAPTOP is a political meme coin launched on the Base network and publicly associated with Hunter Biden. Its proposal is not a DeFi protocol or an action with rights over income: it depends mainly on media attention, community, and speculation.
The most important aspects of its design:
Maximum supply: 1.000 million tokens.
Allocation to founders: around 30%, with an initial lock and subsequent gradual release.
Airdrops: part of the supply was allocated to communities and certain wallets linked to losses in the $TRUMP meme coin.
“Event burns”: another portion is tied to external events; depending on the outcome, tokens may be burned or used for purposes defined by the project.
The launch was extremely volatile: outlets like Yahoo Finance reported that the token surged during the first few minutes and then lost about 99% from its intraday high. This illustrates the main risk: with new meme coins, liquidity can be limited, and an early concentration of selling can brutally move the price. (finance.yahoo.com)
Before interacting with it, it’s worth checking three things: the official contract, the pool’s actual liquidity, and the distribution of the largest holders. There’s also a high risk of copycats, especially when a ticker goes viral. The stated utility appears to be essentially cultural and community-driven, not financial; that’s why its valuation depends far more on the news cycle and speculative interest than on product metrics.
I don’t see it as an easy asset to evaluate with traditional fundamental analysis: above all, it’s a high-risk bet on narrative, attention, and liquidity. Losses can be fast and substantial.
This is only a market analysis and does not constitute investment advice.
