@BabylonLabs_io #baby $BABY I've been watching Bitcoin for a long time, and lately it feels like the biggest changes aren't the loud ones. They happen quietly, almost in the background, until one day you realize the way people think about ownership isn't quite the same anymore.
When I came across Babylon (BABY), I didn't immediately see it as just another crypto project. I saw another question. It enables self-custodial BTC staking directly on the Bitcoin network, allowing Bitcoin to help secure Proof-of-Stake blockchains without giving up ownership of the BTC. That sounds reassuring at first, but it also makes me wonder how many new ideas begin by promising to preserve what already exists.
I keep asking myself whether trust is something technology can really improve, or if it simply moves from one place to another. Maybe keeping custody is enough. Maybe it isn't. Every new incentive seems to reshape how people behave, even when nobody intends it to.
The more I look, the less certain I become that decentralization is a destination. It feels more like a conversation that's constantly changing as people chase security, opportunity, and control at the same time. Users, validators, and entire networks all seem to be adapting without fully knowing where the path leads.
I don't know if Babylon is changing Bitcoin, or if it's changing the way we think about what Bitcoin can become. Maybe those are the same thing. Or maybe we're only noticing the first small ripple before something much larger begins.
