My wallet is full of stablecoins, but I can’t move them. It’s not that I’m out of money—it’s just missing that tiny bit of ETH to pay gas. This week I got pulled aside to talk about it again: EIP-8141, Frame Transactions. The official proposal is still listed as Draft. But during ACDE on 8/27, it was already advanced from CFI to SFI— scheduled as part of the lineup for the 2027 Hegotá upgrade, not something casually mentioned. Vitalik also said on 9/5 that Frames have been quietly progressing quite a bit in the past few months. Simple way to understand it: One transaction is split into multiple segments—"frames": who verifies the signature, who pays gas, and who actually executes can be separated. An app or sponsor can front the ETH fee, and the user can settle with USDC or similar. On-chain settlement is still in ETH, but you may no longer need to hoard a little ETH in your wallet as a “toll fee.” Don’t misread it as “you can avoid ETH right now.” It’s not live on mainnet yet; the spec may change; it only matters if wallets and apps can integrate with it. I also saw notes about ACDE #244 : It’s SFI now, but the implementation could change a lot. In my view, this creates friction for the narrative that ETH must be held, but it’s more important for whether stablecoin wallets can be used like ordinary apps. Let’s see whether the 2027 Hegotá thing actually lands first—then talk about what replacement needs might arise. I've been tracking the trending tokens on CoinGecko, and I'm excited to share my findings with you. According to the latest data, some of the top tokens include Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), Velvet (VELVET), and Bitcoin (BTC). I've noticed that these tokens have been making waves in the market, with Hyperliquid (HYPE) and Aave (AAVE) also gaining traction. The market cap rankings are interesting, with PENGU at #119, VELVET at #100, and BTC at #1. Other notable tokens include Cap (CAP) at #496, and Solstice (SLX) at #244. I've seen significant % changes in these tokens, with some experiencing increases of up to 10% 🚀. I'm keeping a close eye on these tokens, and I think they're worth watching. With the crypto market constantly evolving, it's essential to stay informed about the latest trends.
