What is Beldex (BDX)?
Beldex (BDX) is the native utility coin of the Beldex blockchain. It is used for transferring value, paying network fees, staking and accessing services within the Beldex ecosystem. The project presents BDX as a utility asset rather than an ownership interest in Beldex.
What is the Beldex project?
Beldex is a blockchain project introduced in 2018 with a focus on confidential transactions and privacy-oriented Web3 applications. Its ecosystem includes BChat for messaging, BelNet for decentralized network access, Beldex Browser, Beldex Name Service and the Beldex Privacy Protocol.
The Beldex blockchain originally operated through Proof of Work. On December 10, 2021, the network adopted a masternode-based Proof-of-Stake system through the Bucephalus hard fork. Under this model, masternodes participate in block production and transaction validation.
What is BDX used for?
BDX is used to pay transaction fees and transfer funds across the Beldex network. It also supports payments and interactions involving applications and services developed within the ecosystem.
BDX can be staked through the network’s masternode system. A masternode must provide collateral of 10,000 BDX to participate in network operations. The protocol also allows multiple participants to contribute toward the required collateral through pooled staking arrangements.
Beldex uses both coin issuance and burning mechanisms. New BDX enters circulation through block rewards, while fees from Flash transactions may be permanently removed from the supply. As a result, the reported total supply can change over time.
Who founded Beldex?
Afanddy B. Hushni is credited as Beldex co-founder and chairman. Kim, also referred to publicly as Kim Beldex or Mr. Kim, is identified as a co-founder and chief executive officer.
At the time of writing, BDX has a circulating supply of 7,869,903,603 BDX. The current price of BDX is available and updated in real-time on Binance.
