According to Jin10, BP said it temporarily cut oil production in the Gulf of Mexico and evacuated all workers from its Na Kika and Thunder Horse offshore platforms to prepare for Hurricane Isaias. BP also evacuated nonessential workers from its Argos, Atlantis and Mad Dog offshore platforms on Thursday, while Shell, Chevron and Harbour Energy suspended production at some facilities and evacuated some workers. The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management said about 1.28 million barrels per day of offshore crude output in the Gulf of Mexico had been suspended as of Thursday morning, equal to 62.9% of current offshore production.
