Spot 1x Position Size Calculator - With Numbers
No leverage, no interest
Many people lose because they enter a trade with their entire balance. The solution? Calculate your position size before entering.
The golden formula for 1x:
Position Size = Risk Amount ÷ (Entry Price - Stop-Loss Price)
In English:
Position Size = Risk Amount ÷ (Entry Price - Stop Price)
For spot 1x trading: no leverage • no interest
Practical Example 2 - Data / Inputs:
- Account balance: 10,000 USDT
- Risk percentage: 1% = 100 USDT
- Entry price: 30,000 USDT
- Stop-loss price: 29,500 USDT
Calculation:
- Price difference = 30,000 - 29,500 = 500 USDT
- Position size = 100 ÷ 500 = *0.2 BTC*
- Position value = 0.2 × 30,000 = *6,000 USDT*
- The trade is within the 1% risk limit only ✅
Quick steps:
1. Set your risk amount: usually 1-2% of your balance
2. Set your entry and stop prices: calculate the difference between them
3. Calculate your position size: risk ÷ difference = size
Note: This calculation is for spot trading only (Spot 1x). Avoid leverage, interest-based financing, and trading assets that are not Sharia-compliant.
Tip: Always use a stop-loss order - risk management is more important than profit
Try it now:
You have 5000 USDT and are risking 1% ($50). Your entry is 40k and your stop is 39k. What is your position size?
