A recent technical analysis also identified a bullish-flag setup on ETH, with a potential projection near $3,050, while noting that the bullish structure weakens significantly below roughly $2,350–$2,360.

⚠️ BUT HERE'S THE CATCH…

ETH needs to stop making lower highs on the 15M chart.

Lose $2,454–$2,465 → bears can push ETH lower.
Reclaim $2,488 → $2,522 → momentum could start flipping bullish again.

And with the CLARITY Act vote and the upcoming Fed decision creating major macro volatility, ETH could make a BIG move quickly.

My view: I'm watching the $2,450–$2,500 zone very closely.

ETHEREUM INSTITUTIONS ARE BUYING, BUT ETH STILL HAS A CEILING

Ethereum is trading around $2,510 after bouncing from the $2,465 area, but the recovery is now running into resistance around $2,530–$2,535.

On the 1H chart, ETH is slightly below the MA(7) at $2,514.83, but remains above the MA(25) at $2,504.58 and MA(99) at $2,502.87. That keeps the short-term structure relatively constructive as long as the $2,500 area holds.

The bigger story is institutional demand. U.S. spot ETH ETFs attracted about $1.75B during August, while ETH ETFs recorded another $216M+ inflow on September 11. BitMine also holds roughly 5.93M ETH, around 4.9% of total supply, with more than 5M ETH staked.

But here is the important part: institutional buying doesn't automatically mean ETH breaks higher immediately.

ETH has already been rejected from the $2,665 area and is now repeatedly testing the $2,530–$2,535 resistance zone.

A clean 1H reclaim above $2,535 could reopen the path toward the recent highs. If ETH loses $2,500, however, the bullish short-term structure starts weakening.

The battle is simple: strong institutional demand vs. stubborn resistance.

Ethereum is trading around $2,491, sitting below both MA7 at $2,512 and MA25 at $2,511, which keeps short term momentum slightly bearish. The bigger support is near MA99 at $2,476, while the recent 4H high at $2,615 shows how aggressively sellers rejected the upside.

Since Ethereum entered a period of consolidation on August 22, it has been in extremely tight range movement for 25 days. By the end of September, it has just about consolidated for a month, which perfectly matches the rhythm of an upward trend.
