$BABY Man, I just caught some clips from .baby fisherman’s keynote at EthCC and it really got me thinking.
He was talking about Babylon’s goals and what’s still holding Bitcoin back from being used productively in DeFi. One pattern he pointed out is something I see a lot BTC holders using their Bitcoin as collateral, borrowing stablecoins against it, and then chasing yield with those stables. It works, but it feels like a workaround more than a real solution.
I think this is exactly why Babylon’s Trustless Bitcoin Vaults make sense. Instead of constantly bridging or wrapping BTC and dealing with the usual risks, the idea is to let Bitcoin stay Bitcoin while still unlocking real utility. The more I follow this project, the more I feel like trying to solve the actual root problems instead of just building another temporary fix.
Already following @BabylonLabs_io and keeping an eye on how they move from these talks into real product progress. If you’re a Bitcoin holder who wants yield without giving up the core principles of BTC, this direction feels important. #baby
