Odaily Planet Daily News Glassnode data shows that on May 1, the number of ETH held by addresses ("whales") with 1,000-10,000 ETH exceeded 14.033 million ETH. In comparison, when the Ethereum network underwent the Shapella upgrade on April 12, the number of ETH held by such addresses was 14.167 million. Additionally, the price of ETH has fallen by more than 3.5% since the Shapella upgrade, suggesting that whales may indeed be selling ETH. Interestingly, the net holdings of addresses in other categories also declined, including sharks (holding 100-1,000 ETH), fish (10-100 ETH), crabs (1-10 ETH), and whales (10,000+ ETH). During this period, only the Xiaoxia (less than 1 ETH) address was hoarding coins, and its net holdings increased slightly from 1.79 million ETH on April 12 to 1.8 million ETH on May 1.
