The EthSystems team, which just separated from the Ethereum Foundation, has put forward a core viewpoint:
Banks don’t stay off public blockchains because the technology isn’t capable—but because privacy isn’t sufficient.

🔸 EthSystems focuses on building privacy infrastructure for banks and financial institutions
🔸 The goal is to let banks enjoy the transparency and composability of public blockchains while protecting customer privacy
🔸 Technical roadmap: zero-knowledge proofs + compliance disclosure mechanisms
🔸 If it succeeds, it could open the door to large-scale adoption of public blockchains by institutions
