I woke up after sleeping all night yesterday and it felt like the sky had fallen—#BTC and #EHT just skyrocketed, probably so that all the air force is dead and gone. Damn it, is there still any way for people to live? F*ck. The one thing I regret most now is joining the crypto circle back then; it’s got me sinking deeper and deeper into this swamp. Otherwise, I could be living a comfortable, lower-middle-class life right now. But now? I’ve turned into a peasant farmer. Damn it—hurry up and let me get out of this position at break-even. I guarantee I won’t touch it again. I’ll just get on with a working-for-a-living life.

TermMax’s TMX is about to go live: a pre-market market cap of 182 million. In the short term, risks are greater than opportunities.

Its mechanism does have some ingenuity: FTs are like zero-coupon bonds, XTs make up the remaining value, and the price automatically converges with the maturity date—writing time decay directly into the AMM curve, which is uncommon in DeFi. But innovation doesn’t automatically translate into short-term price support.

Valuation is the hard problem. Official TVL is $90 million; the interest spread is about 1%, so annual revenue comes out to at best about $900,000. Aave’s TVL is $14.7 billion and annual revenue is $150 million, with a market cap of $1.35 billion. TermMax’s revenue is about two orders of magnitude lower, yet its market cap is only about 7x—its premium is driven by “the imagination for the sector,” not by cash flow.

Even more troublesome is sell pressure. The community’s 15% allocation claims full release on the TGE day; even if it turns out to be smaller in reality, the floating supply at launch is still significant. Add two project delays, and the “farmers” are even more inclined to take profits early. Teams that do things in a down-to-earth way usually don’t pump right away—they let the price free-fall first, then let things ferment once fundamentals catch up.

So around the TGE, don’t rush to catch falling knives. Reassess after the real circulating supply and the unlocking structure are clear. Fixed-rate and time-aware AMMs are worth watching, but the token price still needs time to catch up with the narrative. #termmax @TermMax
