About Aergo (AERGO)
Aergo is a self-proclaimed hybrid blockchain network that can be used to develop dApps for public implementation and private blockchain projects undertaken by enterprise clients. The platform is said to offer an easy, simple development environment that Aergo claims inexperienced individuals can learn to code on.
Aergo highlights that its network employs Lua smart contract language in its coding standard, supported by SQL programming language, which can enhance data management. The network references Lua as one of the best video gaming development standards created. Roblox, World of Warcraft, Angry Birds, and others implement the language in their networks.
An unique aspect of Aergo is its dual consensus mechanisms. The protocol services both private and public blockchains by using different consensus systems for each. The Aergo platform operates Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) Delegated Proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus in the underlying blockchain infrastructure. The private network of the Aergo blockchain platform uses a Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism powered-RAFT algorithm to secure the chain.
Aergo was created by Blocko, a large, well-known South Korean blockchain technology company noted for its backing by telecommunications and tech giant Samsung. Aergo was launched in November 2018 by an experienced group of developers operating for Blocko.
Aergo has a network token responsible for powering the platform, paying fees, and more. The network cryptocurrency is deployed as an ERC-20 token, compatible with tokens on the Ethereum network. Aergo is known by its token ticker $AERGO. The current price of Aergo is updated and available in real-time on Binance.
