Today, Azuki Elementals dominated the news and sparked controversy in the community, causing Elementals to fall below the issue price, with the Azuki floor price once falling below 9 ETH.
I will not go into details about the review of the sale of Azuki Elementals and the community discussion. In this article, I will use whale data to peek into the attitudes of the most influential market participants in the NFT field towards Azuki Elementals.
According to OpenSea data, as of the time of writing, the total number of Azuki Elementals (opened) is 9,456, of which about 60% of holders hold 1 Elementals NFT, about 38% of holders hold 2-10, and about 2.6% of holders hold more than 10.

In the Azuki Elemental Beans (unopened) series, 62% of addresses hold 1 coin, and 3.2% of addresses hold more than 10 coins. In contrast, 3.2% of addresses in Meebits also hold more than 10 coins, 1.7% of addresses in Azuki hold more than 10 coins, and the proportion of addresses holding more than 10 coins in BAYC, Milady Maker, and Doodles is 0.9%, 3.4%, and 0.8%, respectively. This shows that the concentration of whales in Elemental Beans is still relatively high.

The following is the participation of the eight whales in Elementals today. Among these whales, the addresses participating in the sale have not yet started to sell Elementals on a large scale, and most of them are waiting or continue to be optimistic. There are also some addresses that did not participate in the sale but frequently traded in the secondary market. These addresses are either constantly arbitrage or hoarding NFTs with certain properties that they are optimistic about. Of course, the signals released by these whales are relatively one-sided, and there is a high possibility that they will go against the market trend.
Andrew Kang: Azuki Elementals First Whale (580 pieces)
According to OpenSea data, the largest holder of Azuki Elementals is beanwhale.eth, which holds 580 Azuki Elementals NFTs, accounting for 6.76% of the current total circulation of Azuki Elementals. The address was marked by Nansen as Andrew Kang, co-founder of Mechanism Capital.
Andrew Kang has always been a firm supporter of Azuki. He said a few days ago that Azuki is currently one of the top three NFT series, focusing on fashion, technological innovation (ERC721A, entity-NFT PBT), etc., and is expected to become the largest series.
So where did beanwhale.eth’s Azuki Elementals come from? This address received an airdrop of 290 unopened Elemental Beans NFTs 4 days ago (June 24, 15:03) for holding Azuki, and minted 290 Elemental Beans NFTs in a transaction with 580 ETH at 00:03 this morning, with an average minting cost of 2 ETH.
Currently, beanwhale.eth has opened all Elementals. So far, no Elementals transactions have been seen in the secondary market.
According to NFTGo data, in terms of the number of NFTs held, Azuki's three major series (Azuki Elementals, BEANZ and Azuki) account for nearly 75% of Andrew Kang's NFT investment portfolio, including 299 Azukis and 436 BEANZ Officials.

0x1E193 Address: Elemental Beans The largest whale
The blue-chip whale 0x1E1936 address currently holds 459 Elemental Beans and 26 Azuki Elementals, temporarily ranking as the largest Elemental Beans whale.
At 15:02 on June 24, the address 0x1E1936 received 101 Elemental Beans airdrops in a transaction, and then began to receive multiple Azuki and BEANZ from addresses such as grails.grail.eth and grail.eth to participate in the pre-sale, and then minted 177 Elemental Beans with 354 ETH at 00:07 this morning, and 74 with 148 ETH at 00:10.
The address then sold 14 Azuki for 132 ETH, and minted another 62 Elemental Beans at 04:44 in the morning (strangely, the transaction method was "Claim", not "Airdrop", and no ETH was consumed, which may be an airdrop claim). Then, at 05:28, 24 Elemental Beans were bought on Blur at an average price of 1.94 ETH.
The first transaction of this address occurred about 3 months ago. Currently, it only holds the Azuki Ecological NFT series, including 141 Azuki and 78 BEANZ Official.

luggis.eth: Largest pre-sale buyer
According to OpenSea data, as of writing, luggis.eth holds 126 Azuki Elementals (ranked third) and 295 Elemental Beans (ranked fourth).
luggis.eth was the largest pre-sale purchaser of Azuki Elementals, spending a total of $1.5 million on Elementals, including 207 Elemental Beans minted for 414 ETH at 00:04 AM, and then 200 Elemental Beans minted for 400 ETH at 00:10 AM.

christian2022.eth: Willing to bid $40 million to acquire Azuki
The next thing to observe is the large account christian2022.eth address, which belongs to Christian, a partner at NextGen Digital Venture. He is currently the second largest whale of Azuki Elementals Beans (356 pieces) and the second largest pre-sale buyer of Elementals.
According to NFTGo data, it currently holds 703 BEANZ Official, 39 Azuki, and 54 Azuki Elementals. christian2022.eth half-jokingly said today that it is willing to bid $40 million to acquire Azuki. christian2022.eth minted 39 Azuki Elementals Beans in presale with 78 ETH at 00:02 this morning, then minted 332 Azuki Elementals Beans with 664 ETH at 00:10, and then minted 39 Azuki Elementals Beans in Claim at 09:04.
suicide.eth: Pay up to $53k in transaction fees when participating in the presale
suicide.eth was the fourth largest Elementals presale participant, minting 136 Azuki Elementals Beans with 272 ETH. Notably, it also paid a transaction fee of up to $53,000 (about 28.6 ETH).
suicide.eth sold 7 Elementals Beans in the early hours of this morning, and then transferred 104 Elementals Beans to two other addresses. As of the time of writing, suicide.eth holds 16 Elementals Beans.

Huang Licheng: Frequently operated Azuki series, purchased frog attribute Elemental with 36 ETH #19481
Huang Licheng (machibigbrother.eth) did not participate in the Elemental pre-sale, but he frequently operated the Azuki series NFTs today. As of the time of writing, he holds 344 Azuki Elemental Beans (the third largest whale).
It is worth noting that Huang Licheng purchased Elemental#19481with frog attributes for 36 ETH today, setting the current highest transaction price for this NFT series.
dingaling.eth: 122 Elemental Beans NFTs minted for 244 ETH
Early BAYC participant dingaling.eth is also a major Azuki holder, currently holding 122 Azuki, 167 Azuki Elementals, and 63 Elemental Beans. dingaling.eth minted 122 Elemental Beans NFTs at 00:09 AM for 244 ETH.
@pimpcapital: The ninth largest Azuki Elementals whale
The blue chip whale PimpCapital (0x66666...66666) currently holds 50 Azuki Elementals (the ninth largest whale).
It is worth mentioning that TeamAzuki currently holds 107 Elemental Beans NFTs, ranking tenth on the list.
