The founder has come clean: BitMart was hacked again on November 2, with about $391,000 transferred to an address also linked to the theft from Brazil’s Mercado Bitcoin, which lost more than $46 million that same day. What stings even more is that founder Sheldon Xia admitted that, after restructuring, only the core team remained, the security team was “severely understaffed,” and key technical staff had to be recruited one by one. The platform is still restructuring, and users’ funds have yet to be fully settled. Admitting it can’t keep them safe at a time like this is truly nerve-racking. Would you still dare to keep your assets on a platform like this?
