📏 BTC is stuck in a tug-of-war around 82K—this kind of market really tests your trading skills.
On October 20, Bitcoin climbed from 81,400 to above 83,000, then pulled back. It swung back and forth all day.
Traders are broadly watching a few key levels:
🔹 Support: around 81,100; if it breaks below, bears are eyeing 80,000
🔹 Resistance: the 82,000–83,300 range
🔹 Some traders have marked 81,500–81,700 as a buy-the-dip zone and 82,800–83,150 as a sell-into-strength zone
The bulls are drawing confidence from ETF inflows: on October 19, Bitcoin ETFs saw combined net inflows of over $526 million, led by BlackRock. The bears, meanwhile, are focused on inflation and the back-and-forth in ETF flows. The next major event is the Fed decision on October 28.
My take: in a sideways market, the biggest losses often come not from getting the direction wrong, but from chasing rallies and selling off in the middle of the range while taking on too much risk. Many traders are also warning that countertrend positions should be smaller. Rather than guessing at a breakout, it’s better to decide in advance what you’ll do if BTC breaks below 81,100 or holds above 83,300.
Are you selling high and buying low within the range, or staying on the sidelines until the Fed decision is out?
