Day 4 of My Crypto Learning: 5 Crypto Scams Beginners Should Know 🚨

Before learning how to buy crypto, I think we should learn how people get tricked. Here’s what I found šŸ‘‡

1ļøāƒ£ ā€œGuaranteed returnsā€
ā€œPut in $100, get $500 this week.ā€ No investment is risk-free. A guarantee is a red flag.
2ļøāƒ£ Fake giveaways
ā€œSend 1 ETH and get 2 back,ā€ often using a celebrity’s name. Real giveaways never ask you to send money first.
3ļøāƒ£ Fake support
Someone messages you pretending to be ā€œsupportā€ and asks for your seed phrase. Real support never needs it.
4ļøāƒ£ Phishing links
Fake emails or websites that look real. Don’t click links. Type the official address yourself.
5ļøāƒ£ Romance or ā€œonline friendā€ investing
Someone you only know online keeps pushing you to invest. Be careful.

🚩 Quick red flag check
• Promises of guaranteed profit
• ā€œHurry, it’s urgent!ā€
• You must pay first
• They ask for your seed phrase or private key
• They want payment in crypto or gift cards

āœ… What I’ll do
• Search the name + ā€œscamā€, ā€œreviewā€, or ā€œcomplaintā€ first
• Use official apps and websites only
• Slow down. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is
This is learning, not financial advice.
