Seeing Ron Johnson, who built the original Apple Store, say he won’t buy into the whole Silicon Valley AI shopping gimmick—his reason is especially simple: Apple’s killer advantage has always been people.

My first reaction was that this guy is standing there talking without feeling the pain. But today, I spent two hours explaining a requirement to an AI, only to realize in the end that the problem was me not thinking clearly enough. It took my vague ideas and faithfully turned them into even vaguer code.

What this amplifies is your judgment, not the AI’s judgment for you. Back then, my boss had a saying: the hardest part of writing code has never been writing it. Verified that again today 🙃
