🔸 He said the Trump administration could still impose tariffs if it loses the Supreme Court case

🔸 He explained that the Trade Act of 1962 gives the president very strong authority to impose import tariffs through sections 301, 232, and 122

🔸 Bessent said they could reinvent the entire tariff system using these laws

🔸 Bessent said the tariffs have worked and cited China's progress on the fentanyl issue thanks to tariff pressure

🔸 Regarding the selection of the FED Chairman, he said the Chairman has only one vote, so his power is limited and a decision could be made after the new year.
