CoinVoice recently learned that on October 5, Burnt announced the launch of the public testnet of the Layer1 blockchain Xion, which will use the USDC stablecoin issued by Circle as its main transaction currency. The network will focus on use cases such as payments, social communities, network subscriptions, loyalty programs, and games.
Xion will be supported by an ecosystem of more than 75 partners, and the blockchain is based on the CometBFT consensus framework and the Cosmos SDK, the developer toolkit and software package used to create projects such as BNBChain, Injective, Osmosis, and dYdX Chain.
CoinVoice previously reported that on March 22, NFT auction protocol Burnt Finance announced its official name change to Burnt, and is committed to expanding the impact of Web3 beyond the scope of DeFi. Burnt will launch XION, a public chain built specifically for consumers, and will integrate seamless deposit and withdrawal channels, direct credit card purchases, Web2 logins, secure mobile support account abstraction, and zero gas fees. XION will be built on the Cosmos SDK Tendermint. Original link [Original link]
