Strategy has made another move, buying just 267 coins this time. SEC 8-K filings submitted on October 19 and the company's official announcement show that, from October 12 to 18, Strategy sold MSTR common stock through its ATM program, raising approximately $22 million net, and used the proceeds to buy 267 $BTC. Its total holdings now stand at 848,500 coins. That figure is not particularly impressive by its own historical standards. Previous rounds of accumulation often involved thousands of coins, while this time 267 looks more like a routine top-up than an accelerated buying spree. The $22 million financing amount is also relatively small, suggesting the company did not make a major push to raise money from the market during this period. The slower pace is worth noting in itself. What is notable is that the financing method hasn't changed: sell stock, buy bitcoin. As long as MSTR trades at a premium to the net value of its bitcoin holdings, this channel can keep operating. If the premium narrows, the pace of accumulation will naturally slow as well. The 267-coin amount may reflect a balance between the premium and financing costs. With 848,500 coins on its books, Strategy remains one of the largest corporate holders in the public markets. Each disclosure offers the market a point of reference: how much longer can the model of using equity financing to buy $BTC continue? The answer will be in the next 8-K. #比特币 #Strategy #CorporateHoldings

Strategy may be removed from MSCI, with the market estimating around $2.8 billion in passive selling pressure. The company is still buying BTC while repurchasing preferred shares—accumulating coins while navigating index rules. Sentiment may wobble in the short term, but BTC’s long-term outlook still depends on supply, demand, and capital flows. Don’t get swept up in a single index-driven narrative. #比特币 #Strategy #Binance Square

🎯 Bought 267 coins. That’s all. 📰 Strategy spent $22.1 million adding 267 BTC in a week, at an average price of around $82.8K, bringing its total holdings to 848,500 BTC. It paid $45.5 million in dividends directly from its dollar reserves without selling a single coin. 💬 At this scale, don’t expect it to push prices higher. This is just mindless dollar-cost averaging—boring to watch, but they’ve never panic-sold at a loss. 🏷️ #Strategy #微策略 #机构加仓 #BTC Holdings

【Market Flash】The signal behind the $208 price target upgrade matters more than the number itself: Strategy’s price target was raised to $208 by institutional analysts, indicating that Wall Street is still willing to assign a premium valuation to the Bitcoin treasury model. These companies’ share prices have never depended solely on their own businesses; they’re more like amplified certificates of Bitcoin exposure. A higher price target suggests that institutions have not backed away from their risk assessment of this strategy. However, a price target reflects institutional expectations, not a promise. Saylor posted another orange pic over the weekend: “We found room for more orange”—an obvious hint that they’re continuing to accumulate. Strategy holds 848,000 $BTC, or 4% of the total supply, at an average price of 75,444, and is currently sitting on an 8% gain. But take a look at the filings: last week they actually bought just 250 coins, worth $21.5 million. In the same week, they spent $192.4 million buying back their own preferred shares—nine times as much as they spent on coins. All conviction in their words, but the books say pay down debt first. How would you rate this masterclass in spin? Comment section is open: A) Calling the buy is buying too—here comes the signal to buy the dip; B) Adding 250 coins still counts as adding. 📰 Michael Saylor has posted another update related to the Bitcoin Tracker. Based on the pattern so far, Strategy typically discloses changes to its Bitcoin holdings the day after he posts this kind of update. 🔥 So this time, people are wondering whether another holdings update will be announced next week. But the only thing we can confirm for now is that the Tracker update has appeared again; the post doesn't tell us whether they bought more or not. Honestly, this kind of regular pattern makes it easy to jump to conclusions, but “might disclose” doesn't mean it has already happened. We’ll have to wait for Strategy to make an announcement themselves—we can’t treat a Tracker post alone as proof of a change in holdings. 🤔 If they do make an announcement next week, do you think Strategy will keep adding to its holdings this time? #比特币 #Strategy #MichaelSaylor #CryptoMarket

📉 New MSCI rules take effect: Could Strategy be dropped from global indexes? On October 15, MSCI announced that it would officially adopt new rules for “non-operating companies.” These companies will no longer be eligible for the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes. The new rules will be applied during the November index review and take effect at market close on November 30. The final list of affected companies will be announced on November 11. 📋 Key points • The new rules replace the previous temporary restriction—under which digital assets could not account for 50% or more of total assets—with an “operating asset screen + five financial ratios” test • In previous simulations, Strategy and Metaplanet were identified as potential deletions, while SharpLink could also be affected • Existing constituents will only be removed if they fail the screen in two consecutive annual reporting periods, providing a buffer • Strategy holds 848,250 BTC, calls the new rules “discriminatory” against digital asset treasury companies, and has urged MSCI to withdraw them; its share price fell sharply on Friday • JPMorgan estimates that if Strategy is removed, it could face approximately $2.8 billion in stock outflows 🌍 Market impact • This is an index rules issue: passive fund rebalancing affects the company’s stock and does not mean Strategy has to sell its Bitcoin • However, if it becomes harder for digital asset treasury companies to raise capital, this could affect the institutional buying narrative over the long term • Uncertainty remains until the final list is announced 🎯 Key BTC levels (based on daily data from the past 14 days) • Support: $80,400 / $79,800 • Resistance: $83,500 / $84,350 The current price is around $81,500, near the middle of the range. ⚠️ MSCI rules take effect: Strategy could be dropped from global indexes, putting the $BTC biggest “listed buyer” to the test! 📌 MSCI announced that “non-operating companies” will no longer be eligible for its global indexes. The list will be announced on November 11, with changes taking effect at the close on November 30. 📌 A simulation named Strategy, Metaplanet, and others; SharpLink and others are on the watchlist. 📌 JPMorgan previously estimated that, if dropped, MSTR could face around $2.8 billion in passive selling. Strategy wouldn’t need to sell BTC; the impact would be on passive buying of its stock and its financing costs. 2️⃣ The real risk is a feedback loop: “share price falls → financing gets harder → accumulation slows.” 3️⃣ Until November 11, this is all trading on expectations, so volatility may increase. 👉 Do you think MSCI will actually drop Strategy? 📰 This time, MSCI changed its rules from asking “how much crypto a company holds” to looking at whether it actually operates a business. If its asset mix isn’t sufficiently operational, it will also be assessed on operating expenses, cash flow, fair value changes, and reliance on external financing. If it triggers four or more of the five criteria, it could lose its index eligibility. 🔥 The potential list includes 14 crypto companies: Strategy, Metaplanet, and Upexi are proposed for removal, while 11 others are under review. The list isn’t final: MSCI expects to announce the official list on November 11, with the rules taking effect after market close on November 30. 👀 Strategy is the biggest piece of this story. Based on MSCI’s figures, the 14 crypto companies have a combined free-float market cap of about $42 billion, of which roughly $40.3 billion comes from Strategy. If it is ultimately removed, passive funds may have to sell the stock. Market estimates put potential outflows at around $2.8 billion, but that is not a confirmed actual loss. 💡 What’s easier to overlook is that index changes won’t automatically make these companies sell their BTC, ETH, or SOL. What could really be affected is their ability to raise funds by issuing shares or debt to buy crypto in the future: pressure on share prices and valuation premiums could make financing more expensive and reduce new buying. 🤔 Honestly, on the surface this rule is about screening index constituents, but underneath it asks: if a company’s main activity becomes raising funds, buying crypto, and holding assets, does it still count as an operating company? Do you think MSCI’s line is reasonable? #MSCI #加密财库 #Strategy #IndexReview

MSCI’s October 15 Decision: Strategy Could Be Removed from Global Indexes ($BTC) Here’s the conclusion upfront: This isn’t a ruling against Bitcoin, but an index cleanup targeting the “digital-asset treasury company” business model. The most tangible short-term impact is on stock prices, not on-chain activity. The event On October 15, MSCI formally approved a methodology for excluding “non-operating companies”: Companies with digital assets accounting for more than 50% of their total assets must first pass a substantive operating-asset test, then undergo a second screening using five financial ratios. Companies that trigger four or more criteria are deemed “non-operating” and lose their eligibility for global indexes. The final list will be announced on November 11, with the changes taking effect at market close on November 30 (reported by Altcoin Buzz and CoinCentral on 10-16). Simulated list The three companies removed in MSCI’s May simulation were Strategy (floating market cap of approximately $23.9 billion), UK uranium-holding company Yellow Cake (approximately $1.8 billion), and Japan’s Metaplanet (approximately $654 million). Ethereum treasury company SharpLink, Ton Strategy, Solana Company, and others were placed on a watchlist (reported by CoinCentral on 10-16). Passive outflows JPMorgan’s estimate for the end of 2025: Removing Strategy could trigger $2.8 billion in passive outflows; if other index providers follow suit, the total could reach $8.8 billion. Strategy’s response: Funds tracking the MSCI GIMI indexes hold only about 13 million shares, or 3.1% of its basic shares outstanding—less than its average trading volume in a single day (reported by cryptotimes.fun on 10-16). Whether the selling pressure has been overstated will become clear when the list is finalized on November 11. Notably, Strategy held 848,250 $BTC in its October 12 update, while Metaplanet held 44,000 BTC as of September 30. Index removal won’t make them sell a single coin—the forced sellers would be the funds tracking the indexes. My take: This sets the bar for whether “treasury companies” can be included in mainstream indexes. For $BTC itself, it’s noise. But it adds a discount factor to the valuations of all publicly listed companies that accumulate crypto: Going forward, telling the story of “buying crypto and issuing more shares” may not be enough to win the vote of index funds. This is solely my personal opinion and does not constitute investment advice. #BTC #MSCI #Strategy
MSCI’s October 15 Decision: Strategy Could Be Removed from Global Indexes ($BTC )

Here’s the conclusion upfront: This isn’t a ruling against Bitcoin, but an index cleanup targeting the “digital-asset treasury company” business model. The most tangible short-term impact is on stock prices, not on-chain activity.

The event
On October 15, MSCI formally approved a methodology for excluding “non-operating companies”: Companies with digital assets accounting for more than 50% of their total assets must first pass a substantive operating-asset test, then undergo a second screening using five financial ratios. Companies that trigger four or more criteria are deemed “non-operating” and lose their eligibility for global indexes. The final list will be announced on November 11, with the changes taking effect at market close on November 30 (reported by Altcoin Buzz and CoinCentral on 10-16).
